Artists

Joe’s brings a world of artists to the places where you work, teach and gather.
Right here in the backyard of our community, we connect your audience to the power of performance.

Imagine bringing artists to all sorts of venues: a school auditorium, a park, embassies, or event, the entryway of a retail space.  Whether they happen in your venue or ours, the events we plan and produce include interactive performances for special events and community festivals, to residencies with school groups.

Joe’s high-quality artists are not only fluent in unique styles, but experienced in teaching.

“[Joe’s] made sure students felt comfortable.”

– Melissa Mackey
Parkdale High School

Melissa Mackey teaches in a Special Education program at Parkdale High School for students ages 15-21.  When students expressed interest in learning about hip-hop dance, Melissa applied for a grant from the Washington Post to bring Joe’s into her school for workshops.

Melissa explained, “Brooke and the other instructors were so engaging and they made the classes fun.  Their clear instructions made students feel comfortable. They watched to be sure our dancers were always following along.”  This year, 20 students signed up for more classes.

“Brooke was very generous and so accommodating.  She was interested in anything I had to tell her about the students.”  And, Melissa appreciates what Joe’s offers the Mount Rainer and Prince George’s County area: “Joe’s Movement provides such interesting experiences for people in the community…especially their events for teens and young adults on the weekends.”
