WORKSHOP: The Process: A Creative Journey Through Movement with Kwame Shaka Opare

The Process utilizes dance and movement as as a way for people of varying ages and levels of experience to learn to dance out their own personal stories. For example, in a previous session of The Process, the group used their movement explorations to convey their feelings and heal from first-hand experiences as Baltimore residents following the death of Freddie Gray. Led by award-winning dancer, choreographer and teaching artist, Kwame Shaka Opare, participants are encouraged and intuitively led through movement experiences that give them access to their own powerful inner stories and expressiveness.
