El último concierto de la Serie Cultural Pa’lante se enfocará en la música y cultura del Caribe por medio del arte de Taisha Estrada, cantautora, vocalista, y cuentista Puertorriqueña basada en Washington, DC. Acompañen a Taisha por un viaje musical en la que se explora música e historias influenciada por su crianza con sus abuelos quienes sintieron gran devoción a la patria, y por los ritmos Puertorriqueños de bomba y plena que corren por sus venas. Por medio de su música, pinta imágenes de las islas para explorar la vida, el amor, y la bella relación entre la humanidad y la tierra.

Gracias a su diáspora, la cultura Latinoamericana se ha propagado por todos el mundo y cada día se vuelve más popular en los Estados Unidos. Pa’lante, la Serie Cultural Latinoamericana, exhibirá artistas de cultura Latinoamericana que existe en el área de Washington, DC, representando la gran variedad de regiones de Latinoamérica: desde Centroamérica al Caribe, de México a Sudamérica. Por medio de esta serie exploraremos la amplia diversidad de culturas Latinoamérica que se practican y conservan en nuestra región.

The final headline concert of the Pa’lante Cultural Series will focus on the sounds and culture of the Caribbean through the music of Taisha Estrada, a DC-based Puerto Rican vocalist, songwriter, and storyteller. Join Taisha through a musical journey exploring music and stories influenced by upbringing with her grandparents who felt a strong devotion to la patria, and by the sounds of bomba and plena, the rhythms of Puerto Rico that run through Taisha’s veins. Through her music she paints with imagery of the islands to explore life, love and the beautiful yet mystifying relationship between humanity and the earth.

Latin America is an expansive land full of vibrant life, culture, and music. Thanks to the Latin American diaspora, Latin American culture has been rapidly spreading to all parts of the world and is increasingly becoming part of the mainstream.
The Pa’lante: Latin American Cultural Series at Joe’s Movement Emporium will showcase the wide variety of Latin-made music and cultural expression based out of the Washington, DC metropolitan area, representing the wide variety of creative and cultural expressions stemming from different regions of Latin America: from Central America to the Caribbean, and from Mexico to South America. Through this series, we aim to explore the vast array of Latin American Cultures existing and thriving in our region.
