Karen Webber has been writing poetry and performing her words and the words of others since childhood. In college, she majored in Theatre/Dance and English, bringing together her 2 worlds enabling her to create fresh approaches to the poems of EE Cummings and William Stafford to name a few. Her poetry and essays have been published in anthologies, chapbooks, magazines and online:

Having performed in local, regional, and equity theatre, Karen has been awarded arts grants by the states of Tennessee and Pennsylvania. She has created one woman shows about a psychiatrist who left Nazi Germany to land in Montgomery County MD and entertainers Sophie Tucker and Franny Brice. She led a Theatre workshop in the summer of 2018 for On our Own-Harford Rd and Towson and has taught theatre workshops in eldercare facilities, college classrooms and at summer camp.
