About GET Dance Company

GET Dance is a dance school and company that is focused on the sociocultural aspects of each dance form, not only dance as an opportunity to learn movement, but also as an opportunity to know about the culture where the dance is from. To learn more about GET Dance visit: https://www.facebook.com/dancecarolinah

The school has 4 subgroups:

  • GET Dance Middle East

  • GET Dance Colombia

  • GET Dance Kids (Around the World)

  • GET Dance Latino (Salsa and Bachata).

As director of GET Dance, I also carry my own brand as a soloist (Carolina Hernandez) with the same principles, sharing culture through dance, with styles like Bellydance (Raks Sharki which translates directly as Oriental dance), Egyptian folklore, Turkish traditional dances, Bollywood, Bhangra, Salsa, Bachata, Samba and Colombian folklore.
We also get inspiration from different moments of life itself as Colombian legends, new music artists or special dates.

During the quarantine we started creating our own videos celebrating Colombian independency day, Halloween, Christmas, New year and a Colombian Legend that talks about Colonialism and the power of the people of origin.
In my work as soloist and as director of GET Dance I have as goal to share what I have been learning during my career about dance and culture, giving to the audience an experience of diversity through dance.
