Support the Ash Forest Project by coming out to the closing reception of the exhibit at Joe's on January 8th from 4-6 PM.

For the last three years, Mount Rainier-based photographer Leslie Brice and writer Gabe Popkin have documented beautiful wetland forests in Maryland that are threatened by the emerald ash borer. Please join us on Sunday, November 6 from 4 to 6 pm for a reception where we'll share our work and speak about these special places. Joining us will be Andrew Baldwin, a University of Maryland ecologist who studies the transformations of wetlands. Through our presentation, we hope to open a space for us all to think about how we can become stewards of the wild and natural places around us. Our exhibition featuring Leslie’s photographs, Gabe’s writing and drone imagery taken by Yazan Hasan will run from October 30, 2022 to January 8, 2023. It's free and open to the public.
